Accessibility work
As a product designer, I see great importance in making widely used products accessible. People with different abilities and needs should be able to access digital services independently and pleasantly.
Over the years at GovTech, I have actively shared knowledge about accessibility research and testing with various designers and developers. This has helped raise awareness of the skills needed to make digital products accessible within GovTech and Singpass.
What do I hope to grow in? Creating accessibility features from the ground up.
Mentorship
I mentor junior designers on ADPList, offering guidance on how to grow their design skills. In mentoring, I believe in giving concrete, actionable advice and pointing them to suitable resources. My extensive reading experience has been one of my superpowers in mentoring.
I will also be mentoring a design intern in Singpass next month.
Core committee @ The Saturday Book Club (TSBC)
I volunteer as a core committee member with The Saturday Book Club, where we organise monthly book club sessions and exclusive author events — recent ones include hosting The Woke Salaryman.
I design and create the assets behind our Instagram, manage Luma (our event management platform), and most recently led a rebrand project and designed refreshed merchandise for our community members.
